Jody Cale

My first job out of college involved securing funding for special education programs. From there until my retirement, I worked in various capacities on expanding educational opportunities for disadvantaged students, especially poor women and children.

  • Helped start a free higher education information center, advising people on admissions and financial aid;

  • Worked on desegregation efforts in Boston schools;

  • Ran continuing education programs in colleges;

With this background, I was excited by the chance to work w/ Metta to put significant funding toward helping people facing poverty. Working with a team of like-minded colleagues on this effort, we’ve had the joy of making a real difference in people’s lives.
